- About Fashiondisc Photos
Fashiondisc is a service of Solomodels.com. Through Fashiondisc, Solomodels members can provide their photos for sale to the public on a royalty free or rights managed basis. Solomodels members choose which photos they wish to provide for sale and set their own prices and licensing terms (provided they meet our standards and guidelines).
- How do I make my photos available for sale?
You must be a registered member of Solomodels.com to make photos available for sale.
- How do I purchase photos?
You need to register for a guest account. You can then contact the member selling the photos to purchase one or more of the available photos. Solomodels does not charge a commission from either the buyers or sellers. Our service simply lists photos available for sale and allows you to contact the photograph owner directly to negotiate license terms and to purchase photos.
- What are the available licensing terms?
Photographer are either on a Royalty-Free License or Rights-Managed License.
- What does "Royalty-Free" mean?
Royalty-free pricing is based solely on the size of the product you need, not the specific use. You don't have to pay any additional fees on a use-by-use basis. Once you purchase a royalty-free product, you may use it multiple times for multiple projects without paying additional fees. Royalty-free images offer creative professionals an alternative to right-managed photos — without sacrificing quality or creativity. Royalty-free products provide a solution for every budget, with few usage restrictions. Once you pay the fee for a royalty-free product, you can use the images as frequently and creatively as you'd like. (Pornographic, defamatory, libelous or otherwise unlawful use of any image is, of course, prohibited.)
- What does "Rights-Managed" mean?
Rights-managed products are high-quality products with a license and fee based on your specific use. The fee is calculated from several factors including print run, size, placement, duration of use and geographic distribution. The exact details of the usage, duration, etc. will need to be negotiated directly with the photograph owner at the time of purchase.
- How do I download the photo once I make a purchase?
Solomodels does not maintain the high resolution versions of the photographs that are available for sale. We only store the "comp" version meant for online viewing and evaluate on the website. The photograph owners will provide their own method for sending you the photo. Most photos can be simply be emailed to you or made available through a private link provided by the seller.
- How do I search for photos?
We offer the same advanced search options for photos as we do for models. Simply use the Search option to find photos of models based on advanced criteria such as height, age, hair color, etc.
- What kind of photos are available for sale?
We only permit fashion related photos in our collection. If you are looking for generic photos (landscape, pets, scenary, etc.) please visit the many generic stock photo websites on the internet.
- What are the available sizes for the photos?
The seller will list the highest resolution size (in terms of pixels) that is available for a photo and its asking price. They may also list additional smaller sizes that are available along with the pricing. Since a photo can always be downsized, you can have the photo at any size up to the maximum available resolution. The highest resolution version is naturally the most expensive version of a specific photo.
